American Jazz Countdown

The American Jazz Countdown is a weekly jazz countdown of the top twenty jazz CD’s.  The American Jazz Countdown features a look at "whatever happened to a jazz favorite from the past" and a couple of cuts from a new CD in the "jazz spotlight". AJC is hosted by Clifford Brown, Jr., winner of the Golden Mic Award as Northern California’s top radio personality and host of NPR's 1998 New Years Eve Live coast To Coast.

THE AMERICAN JAZZ COUNTDOWN features a brief conversation with a music maker, people like Wynton Marsalis, Max Roach, Sonny Rollins, Clora Bryant, Milt Jackson, Donald Byrd and and Milt Hinton.
THE AMERICAN JAZZ COUNTDOWN includes a look at "...whatever happened to ? " a jazz legend. We touch upon the lives of jazz greats including, Lee Morgan, Rahsaan Roland Kirk and Johny Hartman.
THE AMERICAN JAZZ COUNTDOWN’s "Jazz Spotlight" introduces new artists and releases to our audience.
 
THE AMERICAN JAZZ COUNTDOWN is hosted by award winning radio personality and programmer Clifford Brown, Jr., the son of legendary jazz trumpeter Clifford Brown. Brown Jr. draws upon a lifetime of jazz experience to make THE AMERICAN JAZZ COUNTDOWN more than just another countdown show.
